There are some events that stay with you long after the final guest has left, and our recent collaboration with CNN at the British Embassy in Washington, DC was certainly one of them.

Set against the backdrop of one of the most prestigious venues in the city, we had the privilege of providing live personalisation for guests throughout the event. Our team embossed 400 bespoke leather bookmarks on-site, each one individually personalised with guests' initials in elegant silver foil.

The beauty of live embossing lies in the experience itself. Watching a simple leather bookmark transform into a unique keepsake creates a moment of anticipation, excitement and genuine connection. Throughout the evening, guests eagerly queued to have their bookmarks personalised, creating a wonderful buzz around the activation.

For this project, we produced a single refined bookmark design in two distinctive colourways: CNN's iconic signature red and a timeless classic black. The simplicity of the design allowed the personalisation to take centre stage, while the luxurious leather and silver foil embossing elevated each piece into a meaningful memento of the occasion.

Live personalisation has become one of the most powerful ways for brands to engage with guests at events. Rather than receiving a standard giveaway, attendees leave with something created specifically for them. It transforms a branded gift into a personal possession, significantly increasing both its perceived value and emotional impact.
