Raffles London at The OWO

Nocember 2024

We are thrilled to share details of our recent collaboration with the iconic Raffles London at The OWO, an address that is both historic and monumental in British heritage and luxury. Situated within the walls of what was once the Old War Office, now known simply as The OWO, this site is a landmark of both British history and architectural grandeur. It was once frequented by Sir Winston Churchill and visited by Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, with scenes from the 007 films even shot within its walls.

The OWO is more than just a luxury hotel; it's Raffles' debut in the UK and a milestone project for London's hotel scene and the branded residence industry. This ambitious transformation of a heritage site is one of the grandest London renovations of this century. Built in 1906, the building’s Edwardian Baroque style required over 26,000 tons of Portland stone and boasts 1,000 rooms connected by miles of corridors. It is a marvel of engineering and design, a building that epitomized the Empire’s reach and resolve in the 20th century.

Collaborating with Raffles at such a landmark location allowed us to blend our craft with a setting steeped in history, and we are excited to be part of The OWO’s next chapter, now reborn as a sanctuary of luxury and distinction in the heart of London.
